// Marist Brothers dominating Southern Zone Rugby Competition //

Yesterday, Tuesday 18th July, we had a wonderful break from the dreary rain and with slight overcast but heavy breeze, the Southern Zone Deans semi-finals resumed at Bidesi Park in Suva.

I spent a wonderful few hours catching a few games meeting new coaches and managers in my search for the perfect lock/flanker to send to New Zealand, and catching up with old friends.

Perhaps inspired by their win in 2022 in the premier U18 Deans Trophy, Marist Brothers High School dominated all grades. See the brief Mai TV article.

The #6 from the Grammar U18, Ratu Semesi Turaganivalu was a standout. Scored 2 tries, made numerous breaking runups, stole numerous lineouts, and attempted conversions as they thrashed hapless Sacred Heart.
